Urban Sketch & Legendre have launched a public consultation on plans to bring forward a new shared living scheme on the site of the former Atik nightclub in South Street, Romford. The long-derelict site is set to be transformed into modern new living accommodation, helping to regenerate this part of the town centre and provide a range of wider community benefits.

The scheme proposes a high-quality shared living development designed to meet the needs of local people while revitalising an underused site. The project will deliver new homes alongside improvements that contribute positively to the local community.

Tina John, from Urban Sketch, said:
“This scheme represents a significant opportunity that will regenerate this prime town centre location in Romford, delivering high-quality new homes and meaningful community benefits for all. It was fantastic to meet with so many people who attend our public consultation event over the past two days and to receive such positive feedback.”

The public consultation will run until 30 September 2025, giving local residents the opportunity to learn more about the proposals and share their views.

Residents are encouraged to visit www.havanacloseconsultation.com to find out more about the plans and provide feedback on this exciting development.
