Teenager Struck By Vehicle That Mounts Pavement In Collier Row Hitting Him And Fleeing The Scene.

A fifteen year old boy was struck by a vehicle that mounted the kerb hitting him and then fleeing the scene. The incident took place on Monday 8 September, on Havering Road, at 8.35am.

The incident is believed to have taken place near Immanuel School.

The vehicle is described as a blue/green VW Golf that mounted the pavement hitting the boy and driving off heading towards the Orange Tree pub.

The driver is described as an Arabic male, aged in his 30s.

If anyone witnessed the incident, please ring the police reporting CAD number 2429/08Sept25.

A spokesperson for the police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called at 08:35 on 08 September, to reports of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on Havering Road, Romford.

A 15 year old boy was taken to hospital for treatment; his condition is not life threatening. The driver of the vehicle did not stop at the scene.

Enquiries into the circumstances continue with the Collision Investigation Prosecution Team.  No arrests have been made at this time.”
