In an effort to give a voice to the wonderful dogs at the Dogs Trust Basildon who have spent too long waiting for their forever homes, The Havering Daily is excited to launch a monthly feature dedicated to showcasing these deserving pups. Each month, we’ll introduce you to a couple of the rehoming centre’s longer-staying residents, sharing their unique stories and personalities. Our aim is to connect these lovely dogs with loving families who can provide them with the care and companionship they need. Join us in discovering how you can make a difference in a dog’s life by providing them with the loving home they crave!

Izzy

Adorable Izzy the Rottweiler is a six-year-old, looking for an adult-only home where she can be the only pet. Izzy is a sweet girl who loves going out on quiet walks where she can sniff and explore to her heart’s content. She is happy to have some calm walking buddies and enjoys playing with her four-legged friends at the rehoming centre. Izzy can be a touch wary when she first meets you, but once you are her friend, she loves nothing more than a cuddle and a fuss.

Izzy is seeking a calm home where she can settle in at her own pace and continue her training. Her favourite thing is being around her family, and she will love snuggling on the sofa with her new humans. Izzy is a beautiful girl with a sweet and playful character, and she’ll make a lovely companion for someone out there. Could it be you?

Lolly

Four-year-old Retriever x Pomeranian Lolly is looking for an active, adult-only home where she can be the only pet. Lolly is a sweet girl with bundles of energy who loves attention from humans. Once she has built a bond with you, she is super affectionate and playful, showing off her fun side.

Lolly loves being out and about exploring and is good at travelling in the car. Lolly can be a bit unsure of other dogs and strangers when out and about, so she would like to be taken on some nice, quiet, rural walks where she can be herself without any worries.

If you think you can give these beautiful dogs their forever home, contact the Dogs Trust Balsildon on 0303 003 0000 (Phone lines open everyday from 8.30am to 5pm) or email info@dogstrust.org.uk

About Dogs Trust

Dogs Trust is the UK’s largest dog welfare charity and cares for around 11,000 dogs every year across its network of 21 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin. Dogs Trust has a non-destruction policy and will never put a healthy dog to sleep. The charity also focuses its efforts on understanding dogs and sharing that knowledge with the wider public to prevent problem behaviours that can result in relinquishment or abandonment. We are working towards the day when all dogs can enjoy a happy life, free from the threat of unnecessary destruction.
