Man In Life Threatening Condition After Being Assaulted In Dagenham.
A man remains in a life threatening condition after being assaulted on Shafter Road/ Rainham Road, yesterday morning. The incident took place just before 9am, as the road remained closed for the most part of the day.
Two men have been arrested by police-a 38 year old man on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, robbery and failing to provide a breath test and a 48 year old on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery. Both men remain in custody.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“On Tuesday, 26 August at 08:53 police were called to reports of a man assaulted in Rainham Road South, Dagenham.
Officers attended alongside the London Ambulance Service who treated a 31-year-old man before taking him to hospital. His condition is assessed as life-threatening.
Two men were arrested shortly after the incident. A 38-year-old was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm, robbery and failing to provide a breath test. A 48-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and robbery. Both men remain in custody.”
