Romford MP Slams Latest Immigration Figures Stating: “Britain Is Facing An Unprecedented Crisis.”

Andrew Rosindell, Member of Parliament for Romford, has issued a strong statement in response to the latest immigration statistics, describing them as “nothing short of shocking and deeply alarming.”

 “Britain’s immigration system is continuing to spiral out of control,” Mr Rosindell said, “and successive governments have failed to uphold the most basic duty to protect our borders and preserve the integrity of our nation.”

 The newly released figures show 49,000 illegal arrivals in the past year and a doubling of asylum claims since 2021 to 111,000. Mr Rosindell warned: “Britain is facing an unprecedented crisis. Legal migration continues at levels that are simply incomprehensible and unsustainable, placing immense pressure on our public services, housing, and social cohesion.”

 Calling for urgent reform, Mr Rosindell declared: “Britain cannot go on like this! We must return to a system that prioritises the interests of the British people, not the demands of international bureaucracies or activist lawyers.”

He added: “Illegal migrants must be detained and deported without delay. Legal migration must be cut drastically back to the manageable levels we had when Mrs Thatcher was in charge back in the 1980s – levels that allowed for integration, stability and maintained national unity.”

 Mr Rosindell emphasised the importance of integration and respect for British values: “Those who are permitted to emigrate to the United Kingdom must understand that this is not a free ride. They must integrate into British society, respect our customs and values, obey our laws, and contribute to our economy. If they refuse to do so, they should not be allowed to remain.”

 He concluded with a call to action: “The time for half-measures and empty promises is over – the British people are evidently at boiling point, and they deserve a government that will stand firm, act decisively, and restore control over our borders. I will continue to speak out until that happens. The people of Romford will expect nothing less from me!”
