Local radio has always been the heartbeat of a community, but for Neil Andrews, that heart stopped suddenly on 1st August when Time 107.5 was taken over without warning.

Neil, the breakfast show presenter for over 22 years, was completely blindsided. “I only found out that I had done my last show when I came off air,” he explained to the Havering Daily. “None of the presenters had any idea. One minute we were on air, the next we were all out of work.”

The change has left listeners equally stunned and disappointed, with social media filled with messages of frustration at the loss of local content and beloved voices. The new national station replacing Time 107.5 is believed to have no local coverage and for many loyal fans, it just doesn’t feel the same.

But Neil wasn’t down for long. Having run a small radio station since 2013 as a hobby, he quickly decided to gather many of his former colleagues from Time 107.5 and give them a new home on the airwaves. The response was incredible.

“Since 2nd August, I’ve had in excess of 23,000 people tuning in,” Neil said. His Facebook page, Neil Andrews DJ, has been flooded with posts from grateful former listeners.

The new station, All Hit Radio, can be found online at AllHitRadio.com, on the TuneIn app by searching for “All Hit Radio,” or simply by asking Alexa to “play All Hit Radio.”

For those missing the familiar voices and the genuine local spirit of Time 107.5, Neil’s new station might just bring that connection the community needs.

Be ready for All Hit Radio, your new local radio with the very same familiar voices!
