HRA Team Takes to Collier Row High Street to Hear Residents’ Concerns
The Marshalls and Rise Park Havering Residents Association (HRA) Team were joined by fellow HRA members from across the borough this week to meet with residents in Collier Row High Street, listening to concerns and discussing ongoing community issues.
The visit formed part of the HRA’s commitment to being visible, approachable, and proactive in the areas they represent. Councillors and team members spent the day speaking with local people about a range of topics, from parking and road safety to high street regeneration, anti-social behaviour, and council service delivery.
Several residents raised issues about littering and fly-tipping, while others discussed the need to better support local businesses in the high street. The HRA members took notes on all matters raised, promising to follow up with Havering Council where action is needed.
Cllr Philippa Crowder of Marshalls and Rise Park ward said: “It’s so important that we are out in the community, not just at election time but all year round. Speaking with residents face-to-face gives us a real understanding of their priorities, and it’s through these conversations that we can take action and deliver meaningful change.”

Rob Chesney, Action team member for Marshall & Rise Park said: “Meeting with residents gives us the opportunity to share ideas, listen to concerns, and work together as a united HRA team to address issues affecting communities across the borough.”
The day also gave the HRA an opportunity to update residents on ongoing campaigns, as well as highlight recent successes in improving services and facilities. By working collectively, members from different wards are able to spot common challenges and coordinate solutions more effectively.
Residents responded positively to the visit, welcoming the opportunity to speak directly with their elected representatives.
The HRA plans to continue hosting similar outreach events in busy public spaces across Havering, ensuring that every resident has the opportunity to raise their concerns and be heard.
