School Should Apologise For Insulting The Nation’s Flag And Investigation Should Be Launched.
The Royal Society of St George echo Romford MP Andrew Rosindell’s comments as pupil wearing red, white and blue told to go ‘home’.
The Royal Society of St. George — the premier patriotic society of England — has called for a full investigation into a school’s decision to prohibit the display of the Union Flag during a ‘diversity day’.
By ordering one of its pupils, who proudly displayed the red, white and blue, to go home rather than participate in what was supposed to be a celebration of national identities and cultures, the school authorities not only humiliated the pupil but effectively scorned the flag of our country.
Echoing the comments of Andrew Rosindell MP for Romford, the Chairman of The Royal Society of St. George, Nick Dutt, commented: “Despite claiming to be inclusive, the school has effectively taken the view that every nation except our own deserves to be celebrated. This is the very opposite of inclusion.
“Governors and the Headteacher may wish to reflect on the fact that it had it not been for soldiers, sailors and airmen from across the British Isles and the Commonwealth, all fighting for the British flag, we might not be living in quite so inclusive a society as exists today.
“We demand that an apology is made, not just to the family concerned, but to every decent citizen, appalled by this insult to the British flag of freedom.”
