Britain’s Strongest Police Officer 2025 – awarded to PC Gannon from Romford Town Centre Team!

Havering can now boast it has Britain’s strongest police officer based in Romford!

On Saturday, 28 June Britain’s Strongest Police Officer 2025 – competition took place.

The event had a number of officers, competing from various forces around the country, trying to become the Strongest Police Officer 2025.

Police Constable Sean Gannon, from our own East Area Basic Command Unit, Romford Town Centre team B, took time off work to attend and show his strength in a competitive and fierce competition, to become Britain’s Strongest Police Officer 2025.

PC Gannon competed in the below categories:

1) Silver Dollar Deadlift (Sean lifted 360kg)

2) Overhead medley (Sean lifted 100kg Axel, 110kg log, 60kg Giant Dumbbell & 70kg Keg)

3) 220kg Farmers Walk into 120kg sandbag carry

4) Conan’s wheel (Sean lifted (200kg)

5) Bag throws (Sean successfully threw weights of 14kg, 16kg, 18kg, 20kg & 22kg over a 4.3m bar)

The conclusion of the above events saw PC Gannon in a tie with another competitor. Therefore, he had to compete in a ‘grip strength chest’, which was an Axel bar attached to a 140kg stone.

PC Gannon beat the opponent by 2 seconds and took away the 2025 title.

PC Gannon is officially Britain’s Strongest Police Officer 2025!

Police Sergeant Aaron Harris said “Sean, should be impressed with this incredible effort! Despite him continuing to perform to an extremely high standard whilst at work, he has also dedicated extensive periods of time whilst of duty to train and improve for this event. He has represented the Metropolitan Police Service with pride and more notably East Area Basic Command Unit and the Romford Town Centre Team. I look forward to taking the award off him next year!”
