A 61 year old man has been arrested at Elm Park Underground Station on suspicion of possession of a firearm.

British Transport Police Officers made the arrest just after 7am this morning. Armed officers responded quickly and arrested the male who now remains in custody.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police, told the Havering Daily:

“Officers were called just after 7am today (19 June) to Elm Park Underground station following reports of a man in possession of a firearm. Officers attended, and a 61-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm and taken into custody.”
