Salvation Army Kicks Off Summer With A Community Summer Fayre In Harold Hill.
Mia Gallagher-Student Reporter visited the Salvation Army Summer Fayre in Harold Hill.
The Harold Hill Salvation Army invited the local community to come together for their Summer Fayre on Saturday, 14 June. The event was aimed to bring fun, laughter and connection for all ages and it was a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together in the summer sun!
The Harold Hill Salvation Army continuously shows a commitment to the community through their branch additionally offering warm spaces, coffee mornings, youth groups, and their weekly Food Share. The Summer Fayre is yet another example of their mission to connect people of all backgrounds in a safe and welcoming environment.
The day offered a wide range of activities and entertainment for the community that included: food and drinks, games and prizes, bouncy castle and face painting stalls.
The Summer Faye enables individuals to enjoy a fun afternoon with the family, connect with neighbours, or simply take part in a community celebration.
Everyone was encouraged to come along and enjoy a day filled with smiles and memories. Events like this not only bring joy but also highlight the vital role that the Salvation Army continues to play in the lives of so many locally.
The fundraising of the Summer Fayer will go to the vital work of the Church to carry on serving the community every week.
Church Leader Lizzy told the Havering Daily: “The Fayer was hosted to bless our community and show the community we love and care for them.
“It is a chance for people to get to know us and know we are a Church and a charity.”
The 2025 Summer Fayer was a success with many members of the community coming together to make this experience happen.
