No healthy cat is ever put to sleep… and we do all we can to save the sickly ones too!

A New Beginning is a group covering Havering, that has been recently set up by a group of dedicated volunteers. The volunteers have been looking after cats and kittens for decades between them and are dedicated cat and kitten rescuers.

On Saturday, at St Laurence Church in Upminster, Havering’s new Mayor-Councillor Sue Ospreay, officially cut the ribbon and launched the new group.

Havering Mayor Councillor Sue Ospreay officially opens the event.

The volunteers are all kind hearted souls who rightly have the aim to rescue as many cats and kittens as they can.

Havering’s Mayor with Harold Hill community champion and animal rescuer-Jan Sargent.

Nicola, a volunteer, told the Havering Daily:

“We are all unpaid volunteers, many with full time jobs, who give our time to help local cats in need. Our mission is to ensure that every cat is given the chance of a life where it will be treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. We aim to do this by:

*   finding loving homes for stray and unwanted cats and kittens;

*   supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats; and

*   improving people’s understanding of cats and their care.

If you can support us please like and follow our Facebook page; A New Beginning Cat and Kitten Rescue.

We have many cats and kittens in our cat rescue looking for homes so please check out our Facebook page for details.

We are always looking for volunteers including fosterers, drivers and fundraisers so please get in touch if you can help using our email: anb4cats@gmail.com

We would love donations of cat food and litter, and any help of financial contributions to our vet bills.”

Groups like these are vital across our community-well done to all the volunteers.

Every animal matters.
