BREAKING: Youth Stabbed On Orchard Village Faces Potential Life Changing Injuries.

A 17 year old boy has been stabbed on the Orchard Village Estate, in Rainham just after 10am this morning. It is believed an altercation took place between a group of youths, resulting in one being stabbed in the thigh.

Neighbours in the flat above, heard desperate shouts for help, as the 17 year old collapsed on the floor with a stab wound. Residents came running out of their flats to help and provided emergency first aid. Police officers were quick to arrive on scene and also provided life saving first aid.

The youth was then air lifted to hospital where he remains in potentially life changing condition.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson told the Havering Daily:

“A 17-year-old boy suffered a stab wound following a reported altercation in Lower Mardyke Avenue at around 10:09 on Monday, 26 May.

“He was treated at the scene by paramedics and later taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening, but may potentially be life changing.

“At this early stage of the investigation, no arrests have been made. A crime scene is in place while initial enquiries are conducted.

“If you have any information about the incident, please contact the Met via 101, quoting 2189/26May.”
