BREAKING: Fire in Harold Hill Being Treated As Suspicious By Police And Fire Investigators.
A fire at a residential property on Lucerne Way, Harold Hill, is being treated as suspicious by police and fire investigators.
The fire broke out at 9pm at the residential property on the Briar Road estate.
Two floors at a block of flats were damaged alongside the communal stairwell. Three adults-two males and one female, alongside one child were treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire was quickly under control and extinguished by our firefighters.
A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at about 21:00 on Monday 28, April to Lucerne Way, Harold Hill to reports of a residential block of flats on fire.
Officers along with colleagues from The London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service attended the scene and evacuated residents and offered medical treatment to those effected.
A crime scene was initially in place whilst specialist forensic officers attended the scene. This has now been closed.
Investigators from the police and fire service are treating the matter as suspicious and are keen to gather further evidence to ascertain the cause.”
