Former Metropolitan Police Federation Employee From Romford To Appear In Court Charged With Fraud.
A Romford man is set to appear in court after being charged with multiple counts of fraud following an investigation, into financial misconduct.
Stephen Redgewell, 59, of Brian Road, Romford, has been charged with fraud by abuse of position, fraud by false representation, and acquiring or using criminal property.
The charges relate to alleged offences committed between October 2013 and October 2018, during which time Redgewell was employed by the Metropolitan Police Federation.
The investigation was carried out by the City of London Police as the allegations raises concern over misconduct while in a position of trust within the Federation.
Redgewell is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on 20 June, where the case will be formally heard.
