Brookside Theatre launches fundraiser to help young children enjoy shows
Romford’s community theatre seeks support to buy booster seats for younger audience members
The Brookside Theatre in Romford has launched a crowdfunding campaign to help make performances more accessible for children.
The self-funded, volunteer-run community theatre is looking to raise funds to purchase 100 booster seats along with building a custom cupboard to store them safely. The initiative aims to help younger audience members enjoy a better view of the stage, especially during family shows and children’s performances.
Located in the heart of Romford, the Brookside Theatre has become a vital part of the local cultural scene, offering a varied programme of events designed to enrich the community and bring people together. The theatre is now hoping to expand its offering for children and young people, but needs a little help from the public to do so.
Those wishing to support the campaign can donate via the official fundraising page: https://www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/childrens-booster-seats-for-community-theatre
Every donation will go toward making the theatre more inclusive and welcoming for families, ensuring children can enjoy the magic of live theatre without missing a moment.
