Beam Park Councillors Continue To Hold Clarion To Account Over Orchard Village Issues.
As part of an ongoing series of meetings with Clarion Housing, Councillor Trevor Mckeever and Matt Stanton, the two Beam Park Councillors, have raised a number of important issues with the Housing Association in regards to the orchard Village housing estate in South Hornchurch.
“We know that residents were severely disrupted recently by a water shutoff on Orchard Village”, Cllr Mckeever told the Havering Daily, “and we’ve reiterated to Clarion that this is unacceptable. Clarion have agreed to meet with those residents who were most affected last time in order to learn how things went wrong, and we’ll be setting that up soon.”
Also discussed were residents concerns about long-running repairs, including faulty decking in the communal gardens, which is to be entirely replaced.
“We’re pleased to hear that Clarion are also comprehensively reviewing their service charges to residents, after residents alerted us to certain discrepancies. People shouldn’t be paying more than they have to” said Cllr Stanton.
The Councillors were also pleased to hear that Clarion have planned some community activities in the summer, to go alongside the program of events organised by the Community Centre.
