Surplus Food Giveaway At Mardyke Community Centre.
Local Councillors joined staff from Clarion and the volunteers from the Mardyke Community Centre, Rainham to distribute food donated by the Felix Project on Monday 7 April.
‘The Felix Project are great supporters of the local Centre and of Rainham Foodbank, delivering surplus food and helping to eliminate food waste” said Ward Councillor Trevor Mckeever. “A lot of their food goes to schools, and during the school holidays we are fortunate that our community can also benefit from the charity.”

“We understand that some of our residents are struggling and these events can help to make things easier” said Cllr Matt Stanton. “For those needing more formal support, the Citizens Advice Bureau have appointments at Rainham Foodbank in Orchard Village, and they can be contacted on 01708 397484”.
