Jazz In The Park Comes To Hornchurch This Weekend

Jazz in the Park! Is coming to Hornchurch this Sunday 6 April. The event will take place at Haynes Park from 2pm-4.30pm with tickets costing £10.

Jazz in The Park is spearheaded by friends Denise and Christine, who have been associated with the music industry for many years.  Their first event is Sunday, at Hornchurch Bowls Club, Haynes Park, Slewins Lane, RM11 where you will be entertained by a renowned trio comprising of Alex Keen, Bassist, Alex has worked with all the who’s who in the music industry most recently backing singers Anita Wardell, Trudy Kerr and Kai Hoffman

Miss Shireen Francis, Vocalist. A stylish and versatile performer, Shireen has performed at many top jazz venues and festivals, including Ronnie Scott’s, The Royal Albert Hall, The Royal Festival Hall, 100 Club and The 606 Club to name but a few.

Miss Meredith White, Jazz pianist, singer and composer, Meredith draws influence from a wide range of styles and repertoire.  After gaining a scholarship to study classical piano at the Royal Academy of Music, Meredith moved into jazz and has since performed in most of the London jazz venues, working with the likes of Cleo Laine, Norma Winstone, Shireen Francis, Sarah Moule and Dave O’Higgins.
