Fantastic Emergency Services Mental Health Support Group PTSD 999 Celebrates First Year As A charity.
‘One year ago, we embarked on this journey with a simple, yet vital mission: to support our brave emergency service personnel and veterans who are battling the devastating effects of PTSD.’
On March 12, PTSD 999 celebrated their first year as a registered charity. This team do an outstanding job across the country supporting members of the emergency services.
Co founder Gary Hayes from Elm Park told the Havering Daily:
“This March we celebrate a milestone – the first anniversary of PTSD999 as a registered charity. It’s a moment of immense pride, but more importantly, a moment of profound gratitude.
One year ago, we embarked on this journey with a simple, yet vital mission: to support our brave emergency service personnel and veterans who are battling the devastating effects of PTSD. We knew the need was great, but the response we’ve received has been truly overwhelming.
Today, I want to express our deepest thanks to each and every one of you. Without your unwavering support, your generous donations, and your belief in our cause, we simply wouldn’t be here.
When we look back on this first year, we see so much progress. We’ve been able to Raise awareness of PTSD to our emergency services and beyond with our powerful awareness presentation, to direct those needing therapy sessions to our specific trauma focused team at Optimism Therapy Services, Organizing and to our training partners L.E.T.S for training over two hundred members of our Blue light family in MHFA UK courses ,all costs covered by PTSD999.
We have worked with others within the corporate world and continue to do so, trauma is very specific to that individual, no matter what work environment you may find yourself within. We at PTSD999 will continue to break down those barriers and stigmas placed around PTSD and mental health and wellbeing in general. These achievements aren’t just numbers; they represent lives changed, burdens eased, and hope restored.
We have received numerous testimony from individuals that we have helped across the UK and Scotland, listened too and not judged, to be told, Thank you for saving my life, is simply the greatest thing to hear or receive.
This is what your support makes possible. You’ve helped us provide a service nationally and further afield to those who have dedicated their lives to protecting us. You’ve shown them that they are not alone in their struggle.
To our volunteers who’s dedication is the backbone of our organization. You give your time, your energy, and your passion, and we are eternally grateful.
To our corporate partners, your commitment to social responsibility is making a tangible difference. Your support allows us to expand our reach and provide vital resources.
To every individual who has donated, shared our posts, or simply spread the word – thank you. Every act of kindness, no matter how small, has contributed to our success.
We know that the fight against PTSD is ongoing. There is still much work to be done. But today, we celebrate what we have achieved together. We celebrate the resilience of those we serve, and we celebrate the power of community.
As we look forward to the next year, we renew our commitment to providing compassionate and effective support to our heroes. We pledge to continue raising awareness, breaking down stigma, and ensuring that no one suffers in silence. This is only achievable by your donations, fundraising or simply by talking, please do not stop, without your support we couldn’t have made the difference that we have to date.
Thank you again for being a part of the PTSD999 family. Your support is the light that guides us, and we are truly honoured to have you by our side.”
This charity lead by Gary does a truly outstanding job and their work is vitally needed across the country.
Here’s to another year of making a difference, together. Thank you.
