On Friday 21 February Havering’s Mayor Councillor Gerry O’Sullivan hosted a special evening at the Queens Theatre, to raise money for his two charities Havering MIND and HAD.

Mayors from many other boroughs attended the evening’s performance in honour of the Mayor’s charities Havering Mind and HAD.

The special performance at the Queen’s Theatre was the play “Handbagged”, a comedy featuring conversations between The Queen and Margaret Thatcher

Councillor O Sullivan told the Havering Daily:
“I would like to thank all my guests for attending the evening which was organised on my behalf by Elm Park Councillor Stephanie Nunn.  I was very proud to showcase our local theatre to the Mayors of Redbridge, Brentwood, Thurrock and Waltham Forest.

“Everyone really enjoyed the play and we raised over £500.  Thank you to everyone for their support.”
