Job Fair And Food Giveaway Hosted At Mardyke Community Centre By Beam Park Councillors.
Councillors Trevor McKeever and Matt Stanton organised a Jobs and Skills fair at the Mardyke Community Centre on Tuesday 18 February.
Over 100 people attended to speak to representatives from organisations from the Royal Navy and RAF to London Riverside BiD about career opportunities, and those from local colleges about skills and training.

“As well as the fantastic backing from so many companies and organisations, we also had a food giveaway organised by the Felix Project and Clarion Futures. We’re committed to helping our residents in every way that we can,” said Cllr Mckeever.
“We got great feedback from residents who found the experience helpful, whether they are out of work, looking for their first job, or seeking a change. We’ll definitely be holding another one this year to keep offering opportunities for the residents we’re proud to represent” said Cllr Stanton.
Both ward councillors are extremely active across Beam Park and very supportive of their community.
