Fantastic United In Football And Basketball Events Held In Harold Hill By Havering Police This Week.
Yesterday, Monday 17 February, saw the first day of this week’s community youth events being held by Havering Police.
Nearly 100 children joined officers at Central Park in Harold Hill, for the first United in Football and Basketball session. Despite, the cold and frosty start to the day, children arrived eagerly to participate in all the day’s amazing events.
These events are organised by officers during school breaks to support the youth in our community and provide them with some enjoyable activities.

The next event will be at Cottons park on Wednesday 19 February. No booking necessary!
Organiser of these great events is Chief Inspector Charlie Routley, who told the Havering Daily:
“It was a great turnout today to kick off our February half term sessions. Thank you to all those parents/carers who braved the cold on the sidelines. The kids all had a brilliant time
Following on from the success we saw last year, Havering Council have secured funding via Sports England to allow sessions to run every school holiday throughout 2025.
Every session is free of charge, so make sure you come down and join in the fun.”
Please see below for further sessions this week.
