Fantastic New Thames Chase Playground That Encourages Children To Nurture A Love Of Exploration And Nature.
Thames Chase Trust are thrilled to announce the opening of our new accessible playground at the Thames Chase Forest Centre, Upminster.
This new addition to the Forest Centre is a space for the whole community to enjoy and help nurture a love of exploration and nature for visitors. This has been made possible thanks to a grant from Veolia Maintenance Trust and the Landfill Communities Fund. With the design and installation by ESP Play Parks.
The grand opening event was attended by Deputy Lord Lieutenant Dr Simon Lyster and the Mayor of Havering, Cllr Gerry O’Sullivan, who both cut the official opening ribbon with some very special helpers! Thames Chase Trust Trustees, staff, volunteers and their families were also present for this very special event and it was wonderful to welcome the local community to explore the new playground and Forest Centre facilities.
Thames Chase Forest Centre Manager Caroline Roberts said “Play is an important part of growing and learning and we hope our new play area will give the children of this community many happy hours, create long lasting memories and act as a doorway into discovering the Community Forest and a deep rooted love and appreciation of nature and the environment”
