Harold Hill Police Visit To Youth Unity On Farnham Road.
Acting Chief Inspector Charlie Routley visited Youth Unity last week in Farnham Road, Harold Hill.
Mr Routley has been leading the Clear Hold Build initiative that has seen a vast reduction in anti social behaviour thanks to ongoing work by officers and their collaboration with partner agencies across the borough.
Part of the initiative has been to work with charities such as Youth Unity to support local youths and the community.
The Met Police have funded this initiative to encourage and divert young people away from serious youth violence, ASB and gangs
The programme is free to children of all ages until 31, March
Chief Inspector Routley told the Havering Daily:
“It was great to come down and see the amazing work Youth Unity are doing as part of the “Our Harold Hill – Clear Hold Build” project here in Harold Hill. Providing young people a safe space to socialise, enjoy the various activities on offer and, most importantly, speak with the youth workers about their concerns in the area. The session was very well attended and I would encourage everyone to come along and take part.
“We have funded the sessions to run every Thursday between 3pm and 5:30pm on Farnham Road, Harold Hill until the end of March. We are also funding Box Up Crime who are running sessions every Friday at MyPlace between 5.30pm and 7.45pm. As with Youth Unity, these sessions are free of charge to kids aged 7-19″.
This is fantastic community engagement that is really making a difference.
