BREAKING: Police Appeal For Witnesses Following Fatal Collision In Harold Hill
Man arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Detectives are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Harold Hill.
At about 19:30 on Thursday, 13 February, officers were made aware of a collision involving a black smart car and a pedestrian in Briar Road, Harold Hill.
Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended. A 41-year-old woman, who was the pedestrian was taken to hospital but she sadly died from her injuries.
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
The driver failed to stop at the scene.
A 42-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
Road closures remain in place while officers investigate.
Detectives would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or captured it on dash cam.
