Margaret Mullane-The Member Of Parliament Who Has Hit The Ground Running Since Being Elected.
Margaret is no stranger to work. As the office manager to the previous Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas, she knows her way around parliamentary and local case work.
Before her election, Margaret had truly devoted herself to supporting residents across Dagenham and Rainham. Now, she has immersed herself fully in her role as the Dagenham and Rainham MP. There is not a week that goes by that she is not out at all hours visiting constituents, or supporting local causes.
In fact-Margaret has over 3,000 individual cases she is dealing with and has attended hundreds of meetings since being elected less than a year ago.
She is also very active across Rainham. She has been a key figure in helping to tackle shoplifting across Dagenham and Rainham. Hosting regular meetings with retailers to hear first hand the problems they are facing. Working alongside local ward councillors and police officers to help stop these ongoing issues.
She has been working tirelessly behind the scenes on the Launders Lane toxic landill problems, liaising with key partners and local residents.
She was and still is a key figure in supporting residents who tragically lost their homes in the Dagenham flat fire last summer.
The list locally goes on.
In Parliament Margaret has been involved on the All Party Parliamentary Group and serves on the House of Commons Home Affairs Select Committee.
She truly is one of the most active Members of Parliament there is. Not only is she extremely dedicated to her role, but is passionate about looking after her constituents.
