Community Quiz Night Raises £420 for Emergency Services Hampers
A festive quiz night held on December 13 at the Romford British Legion raised £420 to fund Christmas hampers for local emergency services.
Organised by Karen and Rob Chesney, and supported by Jim and Linda Johnstone along with the dedicated supporters of the Romford British Legion, the event highlighted the community’s appreciation for the tireless work of ambulance crews, police officers, and firefighters during the holiday season.
Rob and Karen have been organising Quiz Nights for over 20 years and have raised tens of thousands of pounds for many different local charities.

Linda had the idea to raise money for the emergency services, and on Christmas Eve, the four of them delivered hampers to the ambulance, fire brigade, and police departments.
This gesture reflects the heartfelt gratitude of Romford residents for those who work tirelessly to keep the community safe, even during the festive period.
The team extends their thanks to everyone who participated in the quiz night and made the donations possible.
