Swift Work By Romford Town Centre Officers Sees Teenager With A Machete Arrested And Three Knives Removed After Weapon Sweeps.

Proactive work by Romford Town Centre officers saw them arrest a teenager who was carrying a machete.

Officers engaged with the youth and after a search, he was found in possession of a machete.

He will now appear in court in January. Another dangerous weapon removed off our streets.

Last week officers were joined by St Alban’s and St Edward’s Safer Neighbourhood officers to undertake weapon sweeps across well known hotspots. This resulted in three knives being removed from our streets.
