Andrew Rosindell, the Member of Parliament for Romford, recently visited his local Admiral Adult Gaming Centre (AGC), where he unveiled the new defibrillator that has been installed at the site.

During the visit, Mr. Rosindell spoke with staff about the business and the importance of regulation in the gambling industry, as well as the crucial role that the defibrillator will play in ensuring that the public have access to medical assistance on the high street. Admiral is continuing to install defibrillators at sites across the country, which are all available for public use. Staff at the sites are trained how to use them and the installation is registered on the paramedic Link system for their use.

Admiral also regularly raises funds for the British Heart Foundation and donated over £210,000 for the charity last year.

Commenting, Mr Rosindell said: “I was delighted to visit Romford’s Admiral venue again and this time to unveil the new lifesaving defibrillator they have installed at the site. I heard from staff how, given the venue operates during extending hours, it will be available to provide crucial medical assistance to the local community.”

Mark Barber, Regional Operations Manager for the site and one of the hosts, said: “We were thrilled that Mr. Rosindell came to our venue to unveil the new defibrillator that has been installed. This highlights the incredibly important work that Admiral does within the communities in which they are based by providing lifesaving equipment for public use, as well as demonstrating the integral role that Admiral and our staff play in keeping high streets alive.”He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to fighting for the local area stating “I will continue to fight for the resources and support that Romford needs to ensure a safe environment for all residents. It’s time for all stakeholders to come together and work towards a solution that prioritises our town and borough’s well-being.”
