Romford Christmas House Brings Festive Cheer and Raises Funds for Charity
A dazzling Christmas lights display in Romford is spreading festive cheer while raising money for a good cause. Located on Pettits Lane in Romford, the house has become a seasonal favourite for locals, captivating visitors with its magical decorations and heartwarming purpose.
The family behind the display has been lighting up their home for over a decade, steadily adding new elements each year to create what many now call a “Romford Wonderland.” From sparkling lights to festive characters, the display has something for everyone.

This year, all donations collected at the house are going to support Lime Academy Ravensbourne, a special school in Romford. The funds will contribute towards a life skills caravan, a valuable resource for the school’s students.
The festive project is a labour of love, taking weeks of preparation. The family invests significant time and effort, creating bespoke features and ensuring the display brings joy to the community while supporting a meaningful cause.

The Christmas house is open to visitors throughout the festive period, with donations encouraged to support the chosen charity. It’s a wonderful example of community spirit, uniting people in celebration and generosity.
While there, we spoke with Jenna Hobday and her family who had travelled from Chigwell to visit the display. Jenny told the Havering Daily, “We travelled here after hearing about this incredible display, and it’s truly magical. It’s not just the lights that make it special, but also the fact that it’s all for such a good cause.”

If you’re looking to experience some Christmas magic while supporting a local cause, a visit to this extraordinary display is a must this holiday season.
