BREAKING: Investigation Under Way After Child In Hospital In Critical Condition-Two Women Arrested in Rainham.

Police have launched an investigation after a child was bought to hospital and remains in a critical condition.

Two women have been arrested on suspicion of GBH assault and have now been bailed.

Concerns were raised about the child’s injuries and investigation was launched by officers. As part of this investigation a property on Edmund Road in Rainham was visited and a crime scene remains in place today as officers carry out further work.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said:

“At around 14:00 on Thursday, 12 December officers visited an address in Edmund Road, Rainham as part of an ongoing investigation.

“The investigation was launched after concerns were raised about injuries sustained by a child who is currently in a critical condition in hospital.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“Two women were arrested on suspicion of GBH assault and have since been bailed.”
