Pensioner Assaulted At Hornchurch Bus Stop By Gang.
A 71 year old man was assaulted at a bus stop in Hornchurch High Street by a gang of people he did not know. The incident happened on Wednesday just before 9pm as the man waited for a bus.
A spokesperson for The Met Police told the Havering Daily:
“Police were called at 20:42 on Wednesday, 11 December to reports of a man assaulted on High Street, Hornchurch.
Officers attended and found a man, believed to be in his 70’s suffering from a head injury.
The man was taken to hospital for treatment and his injuries are not life threatening.
At this stage it is believed the man was assaulted by a group of people he did not know.
No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.”
