Havering Police Intelligence Led Operation Sees Quantity Of Cocaine Found And Hunting Knife Removed.
Havering police officers have successfully removed cocaine and a hunting knife from our streets following an intelligence led operation.
Shortly before 13:44 on Sunday, 1 December, officers stopped a Vauxhall Corsa in Rainham. A vehicle search was undertaken and approximately 3kg of cocaine was found. A 53-year-old man was subsequently arrested.
Just before 14:20, a BMW was stopped in Basildon. A further 8kg of cocaine was found along with a hunting knife. A 36-year-old man was arrested.
Both vehicle stops were part of the intelligence led Met operation.
The two men were charged with being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (cocaine).
They appeared at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Monday 2 December. Both men were remanded in custody to next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 18 December 2024.
