A 2022 Britain’s Got Talent (BGT) semi-finalist performed live in the Mercury Mall for shoppers on Sunday 1st December.

Twelve-year-old Immi Davis of Welwyn Garden City used her one-hour timeslot to promote debut single “New Day” which first released in September 2024. She also covered Christmas songs from across the decades.

Loyal followers unable to attend in person can watch Immi’s Facebook live streams. They showcase vocal prowess whilst preserving her humour and youthfulness.

Talking exclusively with The Havering Daily, Immi explained her musical talent was first recognised aged three when family noticed she could hold a tune. “When I was five, we started singing for one hour a day. By seven I was busking and practising live.

Lisa, her Mum and manager, explained this eventually grew to two hours of practise a day from age nine.

Monetary tips for performances are only legally permissible at the age of fourteen meaning Immi performs free of charge with passion as her currency at the majority of venues.

Facebook viewers can send donations known as stars; these are invested into Immi’s continual development. Vocal coaching from Annabel Williams, industry renowned for her work on BGT and Eurovision, is among several expenses the donations cover.

Reflecting on BGT which first began as an application over three years ago, Immi said she was “over the moon” to reach the semi-finals. Lisa called the opportunity “surreal, though you’re left feeling, what’s next?

Thankfully, Immi’s BGT stint meant she was offered the chance to support fellow BGT contestant Loren Allred on a London tour date. Immi also sang at numerous commemorative events including a local proclamation ceremony for HM King Charles III.

More recently, Immi spent the evening with American vocal coach and social media star Cheryl Porter. Porter’s student Gabriella, described as a “dear friend” by Immi’s family kindly invited them both to meet Cheryl.

They expressed how lucky they were to be offered such opportunities. Lisa praised her daughter, saying to Immi: “You are dedicated, and it shows.

Immi was asked how she handled negative social media comments and pressures of the creative industry though drew attention to her Mum’s role in managing social media profiles and taking the brunt of personal comments ever since Immi started singing online aged five years old.

Criticism we receive is minimal compared to the amount of love people show for her” concluded Lisa. Volunteer moderators subscribing to Immi’s supporters club, offer vital assistance too.
