Councillors Succeed To Allocate Funding For Two Crossings In Collier Row.
Councillor John Crowder from the Havering-atte-Bower ward has worked tirelessly with the help of Cabinet Member Councillor Barry Mugglestone to get funding for two much needed crossings to be implemented.
The first crossing will be placed on Firbank Road at the junction of Carter Drive. Whilst the other will be placed on St John’s Road near the junction of Clockhouse lane.
Councillor Crowder told the Havering Daily: “This has been a dangerous crossing for the children of Oasis Pinewoods School. For many years now before lockdown, I have applied to have safety measures in place. Unfortunately due to Covid and the various lockdowns, we faced numerous delays.
“With the persistence of our Cabinet Member Cllr Barry Mugglestone and myself, and support from our Schemes manager, we have made it happen. It will now go for consultation which is a requirement, from TFL as it is a bus route.
“We have also had great support from the parents at the school, to make this happen.”
