Fantastic Cake And Bake Sale Held In Memory Of Davina.
On Saturday 23 November a very special cake and bake sale was held in Emerson Park in honour of Davina Ruprah who tragically lost her life in a road traffic collision earlier this year.
It would have been Davina’s birthday in November, so in her honour, the cake and bake sale was held as a way to honor her memory.
Her aunt and uncle, organised the event and told the Havering Daily: It was our way to remember our beloved niece, Davina who tragically passed away in July this year. Davina was an extraordinary young woman, an LLB Law graduate with first-class honors, a dedicated student working towards her LPC Masters, and someone who was about to embark on her career as a paralegal. She had an incredible passion for helping others in their legal journeys and even ran an Instagram page, Life of an Aspiring Lawyer, with the tagline “Aspiring to Inspire”.
In her memory, we have been raising funds for The Law Society’s Diversity Access Scheme, a cause that reflects her commitment to helping other aspiring solicitors, and one we believe Davina would be proud to support.
Our daughters Mya and Liya came up with the idea of the bake sale. They did not want it to be just about raising funds but also about celebrating Davina’s birthday and bringing our community together to keep her legacy alive.”
Hundreds came to support the event and join in the cake and bake sale.
Thanks to the overwhelming support of family, friends, and the local community, an incredible £8,381 was raised on the day. This will go directly toward helping others achieve their dreams in the legal profession, just as Davina hoped to do.
Her family are deeply grateful to the many volunteers, local businesses, and generous donors who made this event a success. It was a beautiful way to honor Davina’s memory, and it meant so much to her family to know that her legacy will continue to inspire and support others.
