Dagenham and Rainham MP Contacted By TFL On Application Process For Oyster Cards.
The Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham Margaret Mullane has been contacted by Transport for London with information on the application process for Oyster photocards for the range of age groups. The Oyster photocard concession website has reopened for 18+ Oyster photocards, 18-25 Care Leaver Oyster photocards and Apprentice Oyster photocard applications. There had been disruption to the service due to a cyber attack but TfL has now safely brought back online the concession photocard website and has now begun to start processing new applications.
In the coming weeks new applications can be made for 60+ Oyster photocards applications, and by late November new applications can be made for 5-10, 11-15 and 16+ Zip Oyster photocards.
Once new photocards have been applied for, where possible, credit remaining on expired Zip photocards can be transferred across to new photocards by contacting customer services at TfL. Customers are also advised to keep a record of any fares that they feel should be refunded. Once new photocards have been issued, information will be given by TfL on how customers can apply for refunds for any additional travel costs incurred due to not being able to apply for a photocard.
Margaret told the Havering Daily: “The cyber attack on TfL has caused them great disruption and real inconvenience to tube, Elizabeth Line and bus users. People should go to their website Free and discounted travel – Transport for London (tfl.gov.uk) for detailed information”
