Havering Police yesterday 29 October, held a special community engagement day on Maygreen Crescent in Hornchurch. The aim of the day was to go out and meet the local community, engage with them and listen to any concerns they may have.

The day was organised by Harrow Lodge and Hylands Safer Neighbourhoods Team with the support of Sergeant Atkins. It also included members of Havering Council Housing Team, Sports Development Team, Community Safety Teams and Enforcement officers.

The day allowed local children to join in sporting activities such as football matches, and have the chance to chat with their local officers.

The community was also able to come and chat with Havering Council officers about any issues they may have, as well as chat to officers about any concerns they have regarding anti social behaviour.

This was a very proactive day of excellent community engagement between Maygreen Crescent residents, local police officers and Havering Council staff.
