Get ready for a spooktastic week of fun filled activities at The Mercury Shopping Centre in Romford this Halloween. With a new fun activity every day, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. And the best part? All events are free to attend*, Halloween fancy dress is encouraged though not essential.

Fight Your Fears

Join us on Saturday 26^th October 10am -2:30pm and Sunday 27^th 11am – 4pm. The spooky yet friendly faces behind Exotic Explorers will teach you about spiders and snakes while you get up close with the creatures, prices from £5. Simply turn up on the day or book your time slot via Eventbrite search

Witch Disco

Get ready to brew some fun with our witch- themed party filled with dance and magical surprises. Dress up in your best witch attire and enjoy some wickedly good music, dancing and more. Saturday 26^th October, level , 1pm – 4pm

Scream Printing

Get ready to unleash your creativity and spookiness at this event. Book on a session on Monday 28^th October, 10am – 4pm for a fun- filled printing activity. This event is perfect for any creative kids to try a new art technique and add a touch of ‘homemade’ to their spooky day. Each session will include a bag for customisation with fabric pens, to then be ‘overlayed’ with one of our screen printing designs. You must book this activity to take part. Please be aware that we will be using fabric inks to print on the bags- so please make sure your young printer isn’t wearing anything that you wouldn’t want them to get permanent ink on!

Breakfast Club

Make a Dia de los Muertos Split Skeleton!  Bring to life your very own split ink skeleton and decorate in the style of Dia de los Muertos. The Breakfast Club is a social space where you can enjoy some mindful activities to start your week off on the right foot. Free to join and all materials are provided. 10am -12pm, Caffe Della Continental, Monday 28^th October.

Masquerade Masks

Be the belle of the ball with a mysterious masquerade mask. Use a range of materials to complete your costume this Halloween. Free to join. Tuesday 29^th October, 10am – 4pm, level 2, The Helpdesk.

Party with Jelly Jade

Get ready to dance, be mystified by magic and have a blast to some music on Wednesday 30^th October, join us for 2 hours of music, fun and good vibes. Don’t miss out on the chance to party with your favourite kids entertainer and make unforgettable memories, all this for free, see you there! 12pm – 2pm.

Shrinkle Jewellery

No outfit is complete without stylish accessories. Design spooky jewellery using shrinkle technology. Want to know more? The fun starts on Thursday 31^st October 10am – 4pm at the Helpdesk.

Santa’s Grotto Film Screening

Halloween may be over, but Christmas is just around the corner. Join Sally in readying spooky stories then immerse yourself with The Nightmare Before Christmas in Santa’s Grotto, Friday 1^st November, 10am – 4pm, Level 1, Santa’s Grotto.

Bingo’s Trail

Follow Bingo’s trail through The Mercury and bring your completed trail sheet back to the Helpdesk for a sweet treat. Maps are available at Helpdesk 10am – 4pm, 26^th October – 1^st November.
