Reform UK Romford celebrate by election wins as memberships soar locally.
News from Reform UK Romford.
In the past 24 hours, ReformUK have won two local by elections from Labour. In the Blackpool ward of Marton, the Reform candidate became the first nationally to take a seat from Labour.
This was quickly followed by a victory in Heanor and Loscoe, a ward in the Amber Valley region of Derbyshire. The margin of victory was significant with the Reform candidate taking 55.7% of the votes from Labour on 30%.
Locally, the chairman of ReformUK’s Havering and Barking branch, Philip Hyde, has announced their inaugural meeting on 17th October.
It is clear from the significant jump in membership that we are gaining momentum. Given that Havering council have been on the cusp of bankruptcy for some time, Reform are looking to propose radical changes to the councils funding and spending.
