Much needed Beam Park Health Centre opens after endless battles by MP Margaret Mullane and local Labour team to have it in the area.
‘When there were suggestions that the community services and amenities might be scaled back we made the case for the need for all of services to be delivered’-Margaret Mullane MP.
Margaret Mullane the Member of Parliament for Dagenham and Rainham, yesterday took part in the official opening of the Beam Park Medical Centre alongside ward Labour Councillor, Matt Stanton.
Margaret-who has been working tirelessly to have the health centre in Beam Park, told the Havering Daily: “Together with Jon Cruddas and Councillors Matt Stanton and Trevor Mckeever, I have been pressing for the delivery of the Beam Park Medical Centre. When there were suggestions that the community services and amenities might be scaled back we made the case for the need for all of services to be delivered.
I still want to see the Centre being able to do blood tests for local people and will continue to make the case for this with the NHS Integrated Care Board.”
Margaret added: “To fulfill the promise to local residents at Beam Park we also must have the station at Beam Park. I have a meeting set with c2c and Network Rail to press for the construction of the station.”
Margaret and Councillor Matt Stanton join representatives yesterday outside the new health centre.
