Detectives from East Area Police supported the victim throughout this ordeal and ensured that swift justice could be met.
Investigating Officer, T/Detective Kelsey Winter, said: “This appalling case demonstrates the bravery, professionalism and commitment of officers within the Metropolitan Police Service. Abubakar Walad conducted a vicious, sustained attack against the victim and has now been brought to justice thanks to the hard work and dedication of all officers involved in the investigation.
