Members of the Havering Residents Association (HRA) were delighted to attend the official opening of the Beam Park Medical Centre in Rainham. The state-of-the-art facility offering GP and community health services has been eagerly anticipated by local residents, who have long voiced concerns about the shortage of healthcare services in the area.

Gillian Ford, and Deputy Leader of the Council, and Cabinet Member for Adults and Wellbeing expressed her support for the new centre during the opening. “The Beam Park Medical Centre is a much-needed addition for this rapidly growing community. For far too long, local residents have struggled with limited access to healthcare, and this facility will go a long way in addressing that gap. It represents a significant investment in the well-being of our community and will provide essential services for years to come.”

The Medical Centre is a welcomed addition to Beam Park

Carol Baker, a local resident and HRA team member, also shared her thoughts: “This new medical centre is exactly what we’ve been asking for. With so many new homes being built in the area, we needed better healthcare services to match. It’s great to see our voices being heard, and I’m confident this will make a real difference for local families.”
