Armed Police officers seize two dogs after dog walker and his dog attacked in Romford.

Due to the threat posed, armed officers and a dog unit attended. After assessing the situation, officers were able to safely seize two dogs.

A man walking his dog on Lower Bedfords Road this morning was attacked by two dogs at 8.25 am. Due to his injuries the man took himself to a medical centre where he was treated and his dog who also sustained injuries, is at a veterinary practice where he is being treated.

A spokesperson for the Met Police told the Havering Daily:

“Police were called to Lower Bedfords Road around 08:25 on Monday 30 September to reports of a man and his dog being attacked by two dogs.
The man presented himself to a medical centre where he was treated. The injured dog was seen by a vet and is being treated for his injuries.
Due to the threat posed, armed officers and a dog unit attended. After assessing the situation, officers were able to safely seize two dogs.”
