A house on Marlborough Road in Romford was cordoned off by police officers in the early hours of yesterday morning and remains taped off in connection with eight people arrested for the murder of a man in Tower Hamlets.

Residents living on Marlborough Road reported numerous police vans at the property and officers believed to be from the Met Taskforce entering the premises in the early hours of yesterday (25 September) morning.

Police have reported that this is in connection with the murder of 31 Joshua McLean who was fatally shot on Tuesday 6 August, on Wilmot Street E2.

Yesterday, Wednesday, 25 September, detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command arrested eight males – all aged between 17 and 56 – on suspicion of murder. All eight suspects remain in police custody.
