Local Knitting Group and New Way Tuition Support Queen’s Hospital Bereavement Appeal
Marilyn Wyatt and her Nibble Fingers Knitting Group from Eastern Avenue Baptist Church, Chadwell Heath, are thrilled to announce a generous donation from New Way Tuition. This monetary contribution will support the ongoing hearts and blankets appeal for Queen’s Hospital Romford Adult Critical Care Unit, with funds going towards buying more wool supplies.
The appeal aims to provide knitted hearts and blankets for bereaved families. Each pair of hearts will be given to families who have lost a loved one in the hospital, with one heart placed with the deceased and the other given to the family as a keepsake.
Mandy Ward, from New Way Tuition, is well-known for supporting local charities and non-profit organisations. She explained her motivation for getting involved, saying, “I wanted to give back to the local community and support the fantastic work done by the Adult Critical Care Unit. These hearts offer families a small but meaningful comfort during difficult times.”
Marilyn Wyatt and her knitting group are continuing to work hard on the appeal but are always in need of more wool to keep the project going. If you’d like to donate wool or help with the knitting, please reach out to Marilyn Wyatt on 07778 663377 or via her Facebook page: Marilyn Wyatt Facebook.
This project, supported by the local community, is providing comfort to families at Queen’s Hospital, and the Nibble Fingers Knitting Group is grateful for all the support they’ve received.

What a fantastic group. Have you thought about having a go-fund me page. Would make it easy to donate. I would donate in this way, as it’s easy and safe.
\keep up the good work.
