Hornchurch and Upminster MP to host Older People’s Fair at the Queen’s Theatre.

On Friday 11 October Julia Lopez is hosting her second Older People’s Fair at Queen’s Theatre in Hornchurch. This follows several successful Jobs Fairs at the venue, and she is pleased to be able to host another free event for the community at the Theatre. 

The event is aimed at bringing together a range of local community groups, health and care providers, legal and financial advisers and more who can help people plan a fulfilling retirement or better help someone they are caring for. 

Confirmed services and providers for the event include Queen’s Hospital, Havering Social Services, Transport for London, Age UK, Carers Volunteer Hub, and Romford Jobcentre DWP, among others. They will be on hand to provide advice on topics ranging from finances, to care, to pensions and local support groups.

Admission to this event is free and, while primarily aimed at over-50s, is open to everyone to attend. The event will be hosted at Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch, RM11 1QT, between 09.30am-12.30pm. 

Commenting, Julia Lopez MP told the Havering Daily:

‘With such a wide variety of services, clubs and support groups attending, the event provides a great opportunity to speak directly to those that can offer a range of help to some of our older residents. I hope that this event will be helpful not just to older residents directly but also those who help care for an elderly friend, relative or neighbour.’
