Romford run curry kit family recognised as one of the most exciting firms in the uk!

Gidea Park family run company Tastesmiths, founded by Romford residents, has been named as one of the nation’s 100 most impressive small firms by the Small Business Saturday UK campaign.

Tastesmiths, a family-run business producing unique curry kits made with fresh ingredients and spice mixes was founded by sibling Sam, Nish and Kru Mistry in 2018.

Following a nationwide search, the Purfleet-based business has been selected as part of this year’s SmallBiz100 line-up, which showcases 100 of the most impressive independent businesses from across the nation as part of the count-down to Small Business Saturday on 7 December.

Running in the UK for over a decade, Small Business Saturday is the UK’s most successful small business campaign, which takes place each year on the first weekend in December, celebrating small businesses and encouraging consumers to ‘shop local’ and to support businesses in their communities.

“We’re so proud to be recognised by Small Business Saturday for our curry kits. Curry is the nation’s favourite dish, and we’re passionate about helping the country cook delicious tasting meals at home. We believe in business being a force for good, and we will continue to highlight the positive impact of eating real, fresh food on our health and the environment”, said Kru.

Tastesmiths will be profiled by the campaign on 17 September as part of the 100-day
countdown to Small Business Saturday UK.
