Hornchurch High School is celebrating their accelerated progress, over 75% of entries graded between a nine and a four.

This year’s results are the best results to date, not only improving on 2019 results but also 2022 and 2023 results as well.

A quarter of students received grades 7-9 in maths and nearly a third achieved the same in English, with almost three quarters achieving grades 4 and above in those subjects.

The highest overall achiever was Ayush C, who scored a clean sweep of grade 9s in all of his subjects, the best possible outcome.

Serena Madhvani, Headteacher at Hornchurch High School, told the Havering Daily: “These excellent GCSE results are a testament to the unwavering commitment of our students, their families and our staff. We are immensely proud of our students and wish them all the best in their next steps”.

“These results reflect the high academic standards we have set under the new leadership at Hornchurch High School.”

Councillor Christine Smith congratulated the students and the school’s success, commenting: “It’s such a joyous occasion to see the students open their results. I’m incredibly proud of them all—so many were ecstatic with their achievements and I’m honoured to be invited to share this special moment with our young people of Havering”.
